Start Process

Delayed Start Times:

With chip timing, your Bloomsday time is calculated from start to finish, so there’s no need to rush!

Bloomsday’s Wave Starting Procedure takes place on Riverside Avenue between Lincoln & Post Streets (approximately 801 W. Riverside, Spokane, WA 99201). To utilize chip timing, all Bloomsday color groups will assemble on Riverside. Access Riverside from the north or south, entering from the back of your assigned group. Participants with Bloomsday bib numbers are the only ones permitted into the starting area. Arrive 30 minutes before your color group’s estimated start time, ensuring entrance.

Wave Starting Procedure:

Starting times will vary based on group clearing. As each group moves toward the start line, participants will form waves, with smaller divisions for orange, blue, and lilac groups. The final group (red) is expected to start approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes after the initial wave.
