Shriners Children’s is a unique pediatric healthcare system with a reputation for finding answers and giving families hope. Since opening our first hospital in 1922, it has been our mission to provide innovative, high-quality comprehensive care, conduct research to advance medical care options, and provide educational opportunities for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Why does Bloomsday Support a Charity
The Bloomsday Charity of Choice stands as a beacon of community support and compassion. Each year, Bloomsday selects a noteworthy charity to be the focal point of its philanthropic endeavors, channeling the collective generosity of participants and supporters toward a meaningful cause. The Charity of Choice not only reflects Bloomsday’s commitment to fostering positive change but also serves as a rallying point for the running community to make a lasting impact beyond the racecourse.
Application
The Lilac Bloomsday Association (LBA) designates an official charity or non-profit partner for the upcoming Lilac Bloomsday Run, offering vital support and visibility to the selected organization. Charities benefit from participant donations during Bloomsday registration, product sales, and a complimentary booth at the Bloomsday Trade Show. To be considered, charities submit a concise letter by July 31, detailing their history, mission, and proposed collaborative efforts with Bloomsday. The LBA’s Charity Committee reviews applications and presents its recommendations to the Board of Directors.
