Bloomsday’s Prize Money

Chase the Prize: the Elite Race Prize Money Breakdown

At Bloomsday, the pursuit of excellence comes with its rewards! Prize money awaits those who demonstrate outstanding performance in various divisions. For U.S. citizens eyeing the prize pool, a top-15 overall finish or top 5 American finish is the ticket to collecting U.S. prize money. What’s exciting is that U.S. citizens have the unique opportunity to earn money in both U.S. and open divisions, allowing for a bit of ‘double-dipping.’ In all other categories, runners qualifying for prize money in multiple divisions will receive the higher amount. In case of a tie, the prize money hierarchy is as follows: masters, open, Washington championship. For instance, if a runner qualifies for $1,000 in both masters and open divisions, they will be awarded the masters’ prize of $1,000. Bloomsday not only celebrates athletic achievement but also ensures that the prize distribution is fair and rewarding across various competitive categories.
