“Distance running has a proud tradition here in Spokane, and we are happy to be adding to that history with this year’s exceptional high school group,” said Michael Kiter, Bloomsday board president and Team Bloomsday chair. “This team will once again be representing Spokane and Washington on the larger sports stage, with many of these athletes having already proven themselves at the state level, both individually and as part of their teams.”

The Footlocker West Regional Cross Country Meet is one of the premier events for high school runners across the western United States. It draws top athletes from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, and overseas military installations. Team Bloomsday aims to solidify Spokane’s reputation as a hub for distance running excellence.

“We at Bloomsday are excited to once again see the results of this year’s elite high school athletes,” added Kiter. “Their dedication and passion for the sport embody the spirit of our running community, and we couldn’t be prouder of these kids and their achievements.”
