Say Wow! Symphony Concert to Include Bloomsday Among Celebrated Organizations

Jul 21, 2011

On Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m., the Spokane Symphony will celebrate seven successful Spokane organizations in a concert to honor those organizations and the people who make them great. The concert is dubbed, “Say Wow! Celebrating the Best of Spokane,” and includes Bloomsday, First Night, Hoopfest, Lilac Festival, Musicfest Northwest, Spokane International Film Festival and Unity in the Community.

The concert, under the direction of Maestro Eckart Preu, will include audience favorites, including Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, Vivaldi’s Summer from the Four Seasons and an audience sing-along of patriotic songs.

To make the concert really fun, the Symphony will be showcasing each organization in video presentations during the concert. People are encouraged to wear t-shirts, hats, jackets- anything that represents these great organizations.

Each of the organizations listed has a special promotion code. If this code is used at the time of ticket purchase, the organization will receive 10% of the sales! There will also be a wine reception following the concert for each organization and all guests using the promo code!
