FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 20, 2025

Spokane, WA – Path of Hope Rescue is thrilled to partner with Bloomsday to offer the 2025

Bloomsdog Race Kit, a special add-on that allows race participants to support rescue puppies

while participating in Spokane’s most iconic running event.

The 2025 Bloomsdog Race Kit includes a custom Bloomsdog collar (available in S, M, L), a

matching Bloomsdog silicone wristband, a locally made dog treat from Bucho’s Barkery in

Spokane Valley, and a $10 donation to Path of Hope Rescue. Participants who wear their

wristband on race day can also stop by the Path of Hope Rescue tent for a chance to win a Fi

Series 3 GPS collar, plus other great prizes!

Path of Hope Rescue is a Spokane-based nonprofit dedicated to saving pregnant dogs and

puppies from overcrowded kill shelters in Texas and finding them loving homes in the Pacific

Northwest. Proceeds from Bloomsdog Race Kit purchases will help Path of Hope reach its goal

of rescuing 300 or more dogs in 2025 by covering essential expenses such as spay/neuter

surgeries, medical care, and food.

Runners and their dogs share a bond built on endurance, determination, and companionship,

said Craig Smith, Chief Marketing Officer at Path of Hope Rescue. “The Bloomsdog Race Kit is

a fun way for participants to celebrate that connection while directly helping rescue puppies get

the fresh start they deserve.

The Bloomsday team also recognizes the importance of community partnerships. “Bloomsday is

all about community, and we love finding ways to make it even more meaningful for our

participants. Partnering with Path of Hope Rescue for the Bloomsdog add-on is a perfect fit—it’s

a fun way for runners to give back while celebrating the dogs that bring so much joy to our

lives.” said Bethany Lueck, Director of Sponsorship and Communications at Bloomsday. “We

can’t wait to see Bloomsdog collars and wristbands around the community, just like the beloved

finisher shirts.

Bloomsdog Race Kits can be added to Bloomsday registrations starting today, February 20,

2025, and picked up at the Path of Hope Rescue tent outside the Spokane Convention Center

on Friday, May 2nd & Saturday, May 3rd. Any kits not picked up will be shipped after race day.

On race day, stop by the Path of Hope tent in Riverfront Park to learn more about the rescue, its mission, ways to get involved, and even meet some of the adorable puppies available for

adoption.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on the Bloomsday racecourse on Sunday, May 4.For more information on the Bloomsdog Race Kit, visit: https://bloomsdayrun.org/bloomsday-gear/2025-bloomsdog-race-kit/
