Spokane, WA—Bloomsday participants looking for a way to get ready for the big run are encouraged to sign up for the annual FREE Providence-Group Health Training Clinics, which start this Saturday, March 13th, at Spokane Falls Community College. The clinics will take place at 8:30 a.m. on seven consecutive Saturdays, with the final one on April 24th, a week before Bloomsday.
Clinics will be held inside the Spokane Falls Community College gym, beginning with expert training tips and followed by a warm-up session with a personal trainer. Training starts in earnest at 9 a.m., when participants will walk or run at his or her own pace, starting with one mile on March 13th and increasing one mile each week. Volunteers will be waiting at water stations with first aid, and crossing guards will encourage participants to keep up the good work..
