Race day may be over 6 months away, but the Lilac Bloomsday Association is already planning an event to remember as the 50th running of Bloomsday approaches in 2026. To mark this major milestone, we’re inviting artists to create a finisher shirt design that will become part of Bloomsday’s storied history.
The winning design will be featured on the official Bloomsday Finisher Shirt, sponsored by Washington Trust Bank, Member FDIC and worn by thousands of participants. The winner will also receive a $1,000 cash prize and a lifetime of bragging rights. We encourage participants to let their creativity run wild and create a design that captures the spirit of Bloomsday.
Contest Details:
Submission Period: Now – September 26, 2025
Eligibility: Open to all artists, regardless of age or professional status Up to 4 colors
Must include: “Lilac Bloomsday Run” or “Bloomsday,” “Spokane, WA,” “2026” or “‘26,” and the word “Finisher”
Maximum size: 13 in. x 11 in.

- Format: Hard copy submissions only. No thumb drives, PDFs, or electronic files will be accepted.
- Include your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number on the back of each design.
- Multiple entries are welcome.
- 50th Anniversary Tip: Designs that creatively celebrate this milestone are strongly encouraged!
