Spokane, WA—Bloomsday officials have been notified that the Lilac Bloomsday Run has advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the website RaceRaves.com’s contest to determine which event earns the title of “America’s Rave Race.” Voting continues through Sunday, March 26th at https://raceraves.com/march-madness-lunatic-style to see who advances to the contest’s Final Four.

“We’ve all been on the edge of our seats watching Gonzaga advance in the NCAA Tournament,” said Bloomsday Race Director Don Kardong. “Now we encourage our fans to help Bloomsday knock out Bolder Boulder, the Big Sur Marathon, and Hood to Coast to become the best in the West. After that, we’ll put New York, Boston, and a few other bigs in our sights.”

RaceRaves.com is a Trip Advisor-like resource for runners featuring thousands of race reviews from all 50 U.S. states (+ DC) and 46 countries, and dedicated to helping runners find the best races around the world. The Lilac Bloomsday Run is a featured event on their site.

Online entry to Bloomsday ’17 is continuing at www.bloomsdayrun.org. In addition, printed entry brochures are available at locations throughout the Inland Northwest. The on-time entry fee for Bloomsday is $18.00 this year, the lowest in the nation for a major running event. Mailed entries must be postmarked by April 18 to avoid the late entry fee of $35.00. Online registration at the $18.00 fee will be available until April 23.
