Can I change my assigned color group?

Until April 15, we can accommodate changes to your assigned color group. Simply contact us to request changes. However, please keep in mind that no color change is necessary if you want to MOVE BACK to join a color group that starts later than your color. But don’t line up in a color group that starts earlier than your assigned group, or you won’t be timed and you may be disqualified.

After April 15th, we’re happy to accommodate your color change at race check-in. Please pick up your race bib at race check-in on Friday or Saturday, then take it to the “Color Changes” table and they will help you make any changes needed. Please keep in mind that no color change is necessary if you want to MOVE BACK to join a color group that starts later than your color. DO NOT line up in a color group that starts earlier than your assigned group, or you risk disqualification and not being timed.

How can my family and friends get the same bib color so we can start together?

The easiest way for a group to start together is to select the same color group during registration, based on your expected pace.

You have a few options:

  • Register together: One person may register multiple participants at the same time and select the same color group for everyone.

  • Coordinate registrations: If registering separately, simply agree in advance on which color group everyone will choose.

  • Update after registering: If you realize later that your group is in different color groups, you can log in to your participant dashboard and adjust your color group to match (when eligible).

If needed, there is also a race-day option:

  • Move back on race morning: Runners may always move back to a later starting color group to stay with friends or family. Moving forward to a faster color group is not permitted and may result in disqualification from your finish time.

If you need additional assistance, please visit the Solutions desk at Check-In.
