Attention All Inland Northwest Non-Profits and Charities: Apply Now to Be Bloomsday’s 2025 Charity of Choice!

Spokane, WA – July 24, 2024 – Calling all non-profits and charities in the Inland Northwest! Have you ever wondered how you can elevate your cause and mission to new heights while engaging with over 40,000 passionate participants? Now is your chance! The Bloomsday Run, one of the largest and most iconic annual road races in the nation, is reminding you that the application deadline for the 2025 Charity of Choice is fast approaching.

Each year, the Bloomsday Charity of Choice program provides one deserving non-profit organization the unique opportunity to showcase their cause to the massive audience of Bloomsday participants, volunteers, and spectators. Selected charities not only benefit from unparalleled exposure but also have the chance to raise significant funds to support their mission.

Why Apply?

  • Visibility: Your organization will be highlighted to an audience of over 40,000 enthusiastic runners and walkers, as well as countless supporters and media outlets.
  • Fundraising: Leverage the Bloomsday platform to collect donations and increase awareness for your cause.
  • Community Impact: Engage with the community in a meaningful way, fostering new connections and supporters for your mission.

To be considered, non-profits must submit their application by July 31, 2024. The application process is simple and designed to help us understand your organization’s mission, the impact you make in the community, and how you plan to leverage this incredible opportunity.

The charity submits a letter, no more than two pages long, that provides the following information:the great work that your charity does (and any other background) – how being the official Bloomsday charity would help the charity’s mission – fun ways the charity would like to promote itself during Bloomsday season to increase the visibility of both the charity and Bloomsday (e.g. West Central Community Center did a Doomsday Hill challenge; Ronald McDonald House sold red and white socks; Susan G. Komen Foundation sold pink bracelets; Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery auctioned off mile sculptures; and Cancer Patient Care sold gold singlets that could be personalized in honor of a cancer patient).

Creative ideas are encouraged as it gives Bloomsday something fun to promote and likewise excites our participants to run/walk for a cause.
