March 9, 2016—Beginning March 12, join family, friends and neighbors to get in shape for Bloomsday! Whether you plan to walk, jog or run Bloomsday, these free Saturday clinics will provide you with a medically-sound, gradual conditioning and training program to prepare you for the 7.46 mile Bloomsday course.
Train safely and progress at your own speed, every Saturday morning from March 12 - April 23. Start inside the Spokane Falls Community College gym at 8:30 a.m. with an expert speaker on up-to-date training topics. Warm up with a personal trainer and line up outside of the gym at 9:00 a.m. for the weekly training course.
You’ll start with one mile the first week, increasing by one mile every weekend until you’ve prepared for the full length of the Bloomsday™ course. Routes are on the campus of Spokane Falls, and onto the Centennial Trail. Staff from Providence Health Care and Group Health will be at each clinic to provide safety for all participants, crossing guards, water stations and first aid.
